One of my favorite things about being a creative little artist, is this: if I want something that doesn't actually exist, aside from in my own head, I can just figure out how to make it. Like the time I made that coat out of pink monster fur (which will be coming back out of the closet in the not-so-distant future). Or the time I made cupcake plugs for my 00g lobes.
It is for this reason, that I love working on custom pieces. If one of my friends want something that doesn't exist, chances are, I can figure out how to make it. Recently, my services were requested for some unusual projects.
First, my friend Melissa was looking for some matching cupcake jewelry for herself and her daughter, because she calls her daughter "my little cupcake". HOW CUTE.
I came up with chocolate and vanilla cupcakes with rainbow frosting, glitter sprinkles, and a cherry on top. Handmade by me, out of polymer clay.
Strung with swarovski crystals and glass beads.
Melissa had to explain to her daughter that these cupcakes were not for eating, to which she replied. "Ohhhhh. I'll just eat the cherry then."
Then, the fine people at CT Scenic were in need of some "Human Centipede" themed jewelry to give away as a prize during their hilarious promotion of the Hartford premiere of the film.
So, I made this:
What can I say? Its perverse and its awesome. The winner of the drawing was totally psyched.
Next, my friend Chris commissioned me to make a pair of 0g Honda plugs as a gift. I was up for that job. Here is the adorable recipient:
Finally, these 5/8" plugs were a gift I made for my friend Sherry's birthday.
KEEP THE REQUESTS COMING. Clearly, nothing is too bizarre for me, so.....
